Set in the growing touristy town of Ayia Napa in the late 90s, a local teenage boy is navigating through his emotions and the notion of masculinity.
Synopsis
Leo, a 16 year boy, wanders around the streets of the growing touristy town of Ayia Napa in the late 90s with his two friends, trying to figure out the world, himself. Leo has an unexpressed crush on Gina. But he’s not the type of boy she’s interested in. The town is changing but so are they. Leo goes through an internal journey of discovery and the kind of man he will become. A portrayal of adolescence about desires, identity and intimacy.
Workshops
Midpoint Shorts
Boys of Summer writer/director Emilios Avraam and Producer Tonia Mishiali have been selected to participate in Midpoint Shorts 2020-2021, a program dedicated to short fiction films in development.
The selected projects go through one online and two residential workshops during which the participants focus on script and project development
The whole program concludes with the project showcase within the prestigious When East Meets West Co-production Forum.
